Overview
Sylvan Learning Center, Chino
Part-time teachers/tutors sought to provide personalized instruction in a 3:1 setting for students in pre-K through 12th grade in Study Skills, Reading, Math, and SAT/ACT Prep. The position is focused on teaching, with no required lesson planning, grading, or parent meetings.
Schedule:
Monday through Thursday, 12:00–7:00 PM; two to four days per week during afternoons/evenings and Saturday mornings.
- Provide engaging, student-focused tutoring in the specified subjects.
- Ability to work with kids of all ages in a supportive educational environment.
- Maintain a reliable schedule and show enthusiasm, flexibility, and teamwork.
- Bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate, or are a college junior/senior pursuing a degree in Math or Education.
- Ability to multitask and work with children.
- Reliable transportation.
- 1 year of experience (see above qualifications).
