The Senior Construction Project Manager selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in wastewater/water utility construction that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for a Senior Engineer that has 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater project management to work on-site and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) in the Chino area.

Projects may include:

  • RP-5 Expansion project and RP-1 Solids Thickening Project
  • RP-1 Primary Clarifier 1 Through 10 Rehabilitation
  • CCWRF HVAC Rehabilitation (Blower & Operations Buildings)
  • CCWRF RAS Header

As a Senior Construction Project Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead large-scale capital improvement projects from development through construction, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest quality.
  • Serve as the go-to liaison between agency leadership, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders, keeping everyone aligned and informed.
  • Direct and mentor staff, consultants, and contractors while fostering a collaborative, safety-first work environment.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, forecast costs, and identify smart ways to save money without sacrificing quality.
  • Develop detailed schedules, monitor progress, and implement solutions to keep projects moving forward despite challenges.
  • Review and summarize construction documents such as RFIs, Submittals, RFDs, and meeting notes.
  • Oversee inspections, testing, and documentation to guarantee work meets agency standards, codes, and safety requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, enforce OSHA and safety protocols, and respond effectively to incidents.
  • Review technical documents, conduct field inspections, and provide clear guidance on design, construction, and contract issues.
  • Compile project documentation, conduct final inspections, ensure completion of punch-list items, and oversee the turnover of completed projects to the client.

As a Senior Construction Project Manager you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible diversified engineering and project management experience, preferably in wastewater/water utility construction
  • Preferred: Licensed California Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Preferred: Certified Construction Manager by Construction Management Association of America
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
  • Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
