Position Summary

This senior logistics role oversees the development and implementation of the business plan for a designated area, ensuring facility goals in production, quality, safety, and operational improvements are met while maintaining financial oversight, staffing alignment, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with and to individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
  • Drive, develop, and implement the business plan for the area of responsibility to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety) and implement operational improvements.
  • Forecast and follow up on staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands.
  • Manage assigned financial aspects by monitoring and tracking expenses compared to budget, monitoring asset utilization, and preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports.
  • Monitor and ensure facility-wide compliance with logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives by developing, distributing, and maintaining procedures and supporting documentation.
  • Investigate and ensure associate, customer, and supplier concerns are resolved using own judgment or consulting others when needed.
  • Serve as a community liaison by participating in local and community organizations and charitable activities, championing company-sponsored programs and events to associates, customers, and the local community.
  • Supervise and manage associates and leaders in the area of responsibility by giving direction, communicating goals, monitoring performance, and providing feedback, identifying training and development needs, and providing opportunities for learning and growth.
  • Teach and support logistics and company policies and procedures, and participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates facility-wide.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management) and 2 years experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of employees facility‑wide.
  • 2 years experience as a Walmart Logistics Operations Manager including supervising, evaluating, mentoring, developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of associates.
  • 4 years experience in a senior management role in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of employees facility‑wide.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
