Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION:
Zecchetti Operator
Job Summary Zecchetti Operator employees are responsible for the operation of multiple palletizing machines and using written work instructions and computer interface. Requires a general understanding of overall manufacturing process and the ability to understand and follow basic good manufacturing practices. Qualified candidates are responsible for starting and maintaining palletizing machine operation with a complete and overall understanding in the assigned area of responsibility.

Specific Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Responsible for insuring that all machines within the scope of responsibility are kept running and bottles are appropriately palletized while insuring the least amount of down-time possible. This includes communicating problems to on-coming shift personnel.Demonstrate organizational ability to complete daily clean-up assignments, and adequately maintain good housekeeping throughout the entire area of responsibility.Responsible for completing all mold changes and set-ups. Minor maintenance activities are required.Directly responsible for the proper support to Labeler Machine Operators and all other team members to ensure a positive team environment.Checks and monitors quality on all assigned machines by understanding and recognizing all visual quality defects.Maintains all required documentation of quality checks, downtime, housekeeping and data entry.Displays a full understanding and working knowledge of all related software and other equipment required for efficient production of quality product. Verifies production schedule to insure product is being produced accurately.Follows all established safety rules and guidelines as outlined in the Amcor "No Injuries Safety Contract" and as trained. Understands and communicates all hazards and safety issues to co-workers and Supervisors. Properly uses all required personal protective equipment.Performs other related duties as directed by the Production Supervisor or Shift Lead.Authorization
- Those employees with authorized training, have the ability to shut down / stop equipment if continued operation is a threat to any employee's health and safety or for unacceptable quality.
- Recommend Staff quarantine out-of-specification products, materials or supplies
- Contact any member of Management without fear of reprisal concerning questions, suggestions, or complaints regarding quality, working conditions or job environment
Job Specifications and Requirements
Education and Experience:a. High school diploma or equivalent preferredb. Previous manufacturing work experience is preferred2.
Physical Requirements:
This is a medium physical demand joba. Lift / push / pull up to 1000 pounds 50 feet using a hydraulic hand jack (equivalent to a static push / pull of approximately 70 pounds).b. Frequency lifting weight of 60 pounds from ground to 5 feet.c. Rare frequency carrying weight of 75 pounds for 10 feet.d. Employees are required to stand / walk for up to 11 hours per shift on a concrete floor.e. Employees must be able to work 12-hour shifts day or nights, including weekends and holidays.f. Employees are required to bend; turn / twist; kneel; squat; crawl; climb; reach out and up; turn wrist; grasp; pinch; and have finger manipulations.g.
