Job Summary

Zecchetti Operator employees are responsible for the operation of multiple palletizing machines and for using written work instructions and computer interface. The role requires a general understanding of overall manufacturing processes and the ability to understand and follow basic good manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

Insure that all machines within the scope of responsibility are kept running and that bottles are appropriately palletized while minimizing downtime. Communicate problems to on‑coming shift personnel.

Demonstrate organizational ability to complete daily clean‑up assignments and maintain good housekeeping throughout the area of responsibility.

Complete all mold changes and set‑ups. Perform minor maintenance activities as required.

Provide direct support to Labeler Machine Operators and other team members to ensure a positive team environment.

Check and monitor quality on all assigned machines by recognizing visual quality defects.

Maintain all required documentation of quality checks, downtime, housekeeping, and data entry.

Use related software and other equipment to produce a quality product efficiently, verifying the production schedule to ensure accurate production.

Follow all established safety rules and guidelines as outlined in the Amcor “No Injuries Safety Contract” and as trained. Understand and communicate hazards and safety issues to co‑workers and supervisors, and use required personal protective equipment.

Perform other related duties as directed by the Production Supervisor or Shift Lead.

Authorization

Those with authorized training may shut down or stop equipment if continued operation poses a threat to health or safety or results in unacceptable quality.
Recommend staff quarantine of out‑of‑specification products, materials, or supplies.
Contact any member of Management without fear of reprisal regarding quality, working conditions, or job environment concerns.

Requirements

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Previous manufacturing work experience (preferred).

Physical Requirements

Medium physical demand: lift, push, pull up to 1,000 pounds 50 feet using a hydraulic hand jack (≈70 pounds static).
Lift 60 pounds from ground to 5 feet frequently.
Carry 75 pounds for 10 feet rarely.
Stand or walk up to 11 hours per shift on concrete floor.
Work 12‑hour shifts day or night, including weekends and holidays.
Perform bending, turning, twisting, kneeling, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, wrist turning, grasping, and finger manipulation.

Required Safety Equipment

Continuously wear hearing and eye protection, and protective clothing including steel‑toe shoes.

Environmental Factors

Continuous noise of 85dB.
Occasional exposure to chemicals, vibration, dust, fumes, gas, confined spaces, and humidity.

Other Requirements

Ability to recognize and understand numbers and values; accurate data entry into an online database.
Visually and mentally make priority decisions based on situational judgement.
Proficient hand/eye coordination to operate equipment and assemble packaging for shipment.
