Electro-Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

Summary
Operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures. Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units.
Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. Under close supervision, assembles small parts, capacitors, switches, and related components into cabinets; fabricates various sub-assemblies;
and does other work as required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Works primarily with other assemblers and is responsible for consistently meeting quality and production standards.
• Assembles capacitor racks.
• Installs oil switches, copper fuse holders, insulation, mountings, porcelain, links, and louver cover.
• Drills and installs plastic fittings.
• Build transformer brackets.
• Verifies correct clearances and hole diameters given blueprints.
• Operates impact wrenches, ratchets, and small hand tools.
• Makes up small hardware parts.
• Cleans and maintains the work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Hands-on experience with tools (drills, torque wrenches, rivet guns) and common hardware (bolts, nuts, washers).
• Blueprint/assembly drawing reading, measuring (calipers, tape measures), and basic electrical safety.
• trong motivation, clear understanding of high-volume manufacturing work, high energy/pace, and reliability/responsiveness.
