Position: Director (RN) - Med Surg & Telemetry

Overview

Chino Valley Medical Center is a 112‑bed community hospital centrally located in Southern California’s Chino Valley. The Director of Med/Surg ‑ Telemetry will be based at this location and reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.

Responsibilities
  • Assume 24‑hour administrative responsibility for all nursing service functions within the medical/surgical/telemetry unit(s).
  • Supervise, assess, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of patient care.
  • Develop and implement departmental plans, including performance‑improvement activities and compliance with current regulations.
  • Accountable for the department 24 hours; supervise and evaluate all personnel assigned to the unit and utilize nursing resources effectively.
  • Consult and communicate with staff, physicians and administration—written and verbally—on nursing issues and hospital policies.
  • Respond to codes throughout the hospital, assess and chart patients, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Oversee patient care for pediatric, adolescent, adult and older‑adult patients.
Qualifications
  • Current and valid state registered nurse license.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate upon hire and maintained.
  • Tele RN, PCCN, CCRN or Medical‑Surgical Certified (ANCC) certificate(s) preferred at hire.
  • Minimum two years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Minimum three years of continuous clinical experience in an acute‑care setting preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
  • Current PALS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained (facility specific).
Pay and Benefits

The estimated annual compensation range for this role is $ to $, inclusive of wages, benefits and other forms of compensation. Specific starting compensation will be determined at hire based on skills, experience, education and licensure.
