Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager - Specialty Ingredients (Outside Sales) to join a thriving client team in California. This role is focused on the specialty ingredients sector, where the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in driving new business development and market expansion. The position requires a professional who can communicate effectively with R&D, procurement, and senior stakeholders, with an understanding of formulation-driven sales cycles.
Responsibilities- Conduct heavy field-based prospecting and cold outreach to acquire new logos and grow territories.
- Engage in aggressive new account acquisition, consistently building a pipeline from scratch.
- Demonstrate measurable revenue impact through significant deals and percentage growth.
- Sell specialty ingredients directly to manufacturers, focusing on food & beverage, nutraceuticals, personal care, pet food/feed, and agrochemicals.
- Manage and expand large territories independently, driving market growth.
- Utilize industry experience to connect with direct competitors or closely related suppliers.
- Ensure minimal focus on account maintenance, with a strong emphasis on new business development.
- Travel extensively to engage with potential clients and establish new accounts.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Experience in the specialty ingredients industry is non‑negotiable.
- Proven success in managing and expanding large territories.
- Comfortable with significant travel for field selling and cold prospecting.
Monday through Friday, first shift.

$90,000 - $130,000 annually
