Your Role and Impact
The Inventory Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring efficient flow of goods, and supporting overall supply chain effectiveness. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of physical and administrative tasks related to inventory control, stock accuracy, product receiving, and warehouse organization. The Inventory Specialist partners closely with internal teams to support daily operational demands and uphold inventory integrity across all systems and storage locations.
This role shifts focus from general warehouse functions to specialized inventory management, including duties such as cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, inventory forecasting support, and documentation accuracy.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records in WMS/ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle), including stock updates, transaction processing, and report generation.
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories, reconciling discrepancies and identifying root causes to ensure data accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels to identify shortages, overages, and slow-moving or obsolete materials, and communicate issues promptly to stakeholders.
- Receive, verify, and document incoming materials, ensuring alignment with purchase orders, quality standards, and warehouse documentation requirements.
- Organize, store, and label inventory in designated warehouse locations to support efficient material flow and quick retrieval.
- Pull, stage, and distribute materials to internal teams based on work orders, production schedules, or operational needs.
- Collaborate closely with purchasing, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely replenishment and smooth material movement throughout operations.
- Assist in evaluating and improving shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes to enhance accuracy and workflow efficiency.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely while following all warehouse, quality, and safety procedures.
- Support additional warehouse tasks and special projects as needed.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Effective communication and cross-department collaboration abilities.
- Ability to perform physical counts, lift items as needed, and work in warehouse environments. (General Linked In job patterns supported by duties above.)
- Analytical skills for trend analysis and forecasting.
- Problem-solving ability to identify root causes of inventory discrepancies.

Works in a large, open, well-ventilated warehouse. May be subject to some variations in temperature, normally not to the extreme - Physical Effort:
