We are hiring a Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our busy, growing franchise team in Chippenham
. If you have your Level 2 or 3 qualification and are ready to swap quiet garage bays for a high-tech, fast-paced dealership environment, we will fully fund your manufacturer training and formal certification pathways, ensuring your skills stay sharp and future-proofed.
- The Pay: £30,000 – £40,000 per year (basic salary tailored entirely to your current experience and skillset).

Hours:
Stable, permanent weekday hours (Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00). - Weekend Rotation: Keep your weekends mostly intact with a short, light Saturday morning shift (08:00 – 12:30) on a comfortable 1-in-2 rotation.

Working in our high-spec Chippenham dealership, you will:
- Carry out routine vehicle servicing
, safety inspections, diagnosis, and mechanical repairs to strict brand specifications. - Use up-to-date diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach to troubleshoot technical, electrical, and mechanical faults.
- Accurately complete digital job cards, service reports, and written descriptions of faults found.
- Work productively alongside workshop colleagues, sharing best practices to maintain a smooth, efficient workshop flow.
- The Credentials: Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent).
- The
Experience:
A proven track record in a professional workshop environment (experience with Kia vehicles is beneficial but not essential—all brands welcome!). - The Mindset: A confident, professional approach with excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and your own tools.
- The Basics: A full UK driving licence is essential. Having an active MOT Tester licence is a bonus, but we can provide training if needed.
