We are hiring a Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our busy, growing team in Chippenham. If you have your Level 2 or Level 3 qualification and are ready to swap quiet garage bays for a high-tech, fast-paced dealership environment, we will fully fund your manufacturer training and formal certification pathways to ensure your skills stay sharp and future-proofed.
The Rewards- Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year basic (Tailored directly to your current experience and technical skillset).
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00, plus a short Saturday morning shift (08:00 - 12:30) on a comfortable 1-in-2 rotation.

Your RoleWorking in our high-spec Chippenham workshop, you will:
- Carry out routine vehicle servicing
, safety inspections, diagnosis, and mechanical repairs to strict brand specifications. - Use up-to-date diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach to troubleshoot technical, electrical, and mechanical faults.
- Accurately complete digital job cards
, service reports, and written descriptions of faults found. - Work productively alongside workshop colleagues
, sharing best practices to maintain a smooth, efficient workshop flow.
- Qualifications &
Experience:
NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair. Proven track record in a professional workshop setting. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it). - Licensing: Full UK driving licence is essential.
An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required (fully funded training can be provided). - Equipment & Mindset: Must possess your own hand tools. Confident, professional approach with excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
