Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk
Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Office Admin in Chippewa Falls, WI. The Office Admin manages the daily administrative, financial, and human resources operations for a specialized sheet metal and construction office. This role balances technical accounting tasks like full‑cycle payroll and financial reporting with customer service, dispatch support, and marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is a versatile professional with a strong background in construction‑based office environments and a high level of discretion regarding sensitive financial and personnel information.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $22 to $28 Per Hour BOE
Responsibilities- Process bi‑weekly payroll and generate related labor and tax reporting for the organization.
- Administer employee benefits programs and maintain accurate personnel records and documentation.
- Manage full‑cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including bank activity monitoring and collections follow‑up.
- Review general ledger accounts and assist leadership with monthly financial reporting and analysis.
- Coordinate with external accounting partners for year‑end reporting, audits, and tax preparation.
- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns in accordance with state and local regulations.
- Manage new hire onboarding and termination paperwork to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate business insurance renewals and manage workers' compensation claims and documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for accounting software and office technology support.
- Answer phones, assist customers, process work orders, and provide dispatch support as needed.
- Proven experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Strong background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Demonstrated experience with sales and use tax preparation and filing.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Ability to manage sensitive financial and personnel information with high levels of confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple administrative projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer, vendor, and internal interactions.
- Prior experience in a construction, MEP, or trade‑based office environment is preferred.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, and use hands to operate office equipment.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, and bending to manage physical files or office supplies.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds on occasion.
- Must be able to work in a professional office environment within an industrial facility.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $22 to $28 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
