Training Specialist
We are seeking a Training Specialist to support learning and development within our Distribution Center. In this role, you will play a key part in onboarding and developing team members by designing, delivering, and maintaining training programs that promote safety, efficiency, and operational excellence.
The Training Specialist will partner with Operations leaders to ensure Team Members are trained on the most current processes and best practices while continuously improving training programs based on performance data and operational needs.
Develop and maintain training programs for new hires and departmental transfers across all non-exempt positions in the distribution center.
Facilitate training sessions based on operational needs to ensure team members are properly prepared for their roles.
Ensure all training materials and processes reflect current operational procedures and best practices.
Assess learning performance and comprehension to support a positive onboarding experience and identify training gaps.
Utilize training evaluation tools to measure training effectiveness and provide feedback to Operations Supervisors and Managers.
Research operational errors and identify opportunities where training improvements can reduce issues and improve quality.
Create and maintain training resources including process documentation, tools, templates, and presentations.
Build strong cross-functional relationships to support continuous improvement initiatives across the distribution center.
Prepare and maintain reports, records, and documentation related to training activities.
Perform clerical tasks and audits to support distribution operations.
High School Diploma or GED required.
2–3 years of warehouse or distribution center operational experience preferred.
3+ years of experience in training development, technical writing, curriculum design, or learning strategy preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to build trust and strong working relationships through effective interpersonal communication.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems and applications.
This role is based in a distribution center environment and requires regular movement throughout the facility.
Continuous standing and walking.
Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching overhead.
Ability to lift:
Up to 20 lbs continuously
Up to 50 lbs frequently
Up to 75 lbs occasionally (team lift procedures used when required)
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
