We are seeking motivated individuals pursuing education or careers in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related fields for AET's Summer 2027 Internships. At AET, we value individuals who are client-focused, impactful, and decisive.
Internship Highlights- Hands-On Learning :
Gain valuable experience working alongside our respected engineers and technicians in construction materials testing and field observations, building upon your classroom learning in engineering or geology. - Real-World Project Involvement :
Participate in real-world projects, helping develop and apply practical skills using equipment and testing procedures such as gradations, proctors, nuclear density gauges, DCP field testing, sand cone density testing, field concrete testing, concrete cylinder testing, and more. - Mentorship Opportunities :
Receive one-on-one mentorship from experienced professionals who will guide you through project challenges and career development. - Cross-Disciplinary Exposure :
Collaborate with teams across geotechnical, environmental, and construction disciplines, giving you a broader perspective on how these fields intersect. - Networking & Professional Growth :

- Assist in testing procedures and equipment such as gradations, proctors, nuclear density gauges, DCP field testing, sand cone density testing, field concrete testing, and concrete cylinder testing.
- Conduct field testing and observations of construction materials, including concrete, soils, aggregate, masonry, asphalt, and reinforcing steel.
- Communicate with project managers, clients, and contractors at work sites.
- Additional miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pursuing a Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related degree.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry 30-50 pounds.
Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $20 - $21 per hour. The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
