Machine Operator

Salary

Base wage starts at $23.00 to $28.75

• 3rd Shift schedule Sundays 7pm-7am, Mon-Wed 11pm-7am. 36 hrs, paid 40 hrs

• Set up and operate  Machine.
• Operate ring inspections, deburr all parts and perform troubleshooting.
• Complete in-process inspections of parts by identifying malfunctions or out-of-tolerance grinding; adjust controls of machine to correct errors.
• Inspect and measure completed production units to identify defects caused by machine setup.
• Perform equipment maintenance as needed.
• Maintain a safe and orderly production area with the ability to meet production standards.
• Understand decimals and basic Mathematics.
• Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.

• High School diploma required.
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Ability to understand decimals in sizing.
• Consistently reliable attendance.
• Willingness to work 3rd Shift Sunday 7pm to 7am, Monday - Wednesday 11pm to 7am.

• Physical ability to operate and repair machines.
• Prolonged periods (up to 4 hours) of standing, walking, bending, and stretching in between breaks.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at times.
• Demonstrated leadership skills & ability to multi-task.
• Machining skills acquired through work experience and training from Wissota Tool team.
• Improvement mindset.
• Problem solving/critical thinking abilities.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
