Job Summary

Utility Machinist – Second Shift, Chippewa Falls, WI. Full‑time, non‑exempt. Monday through Thursday, 3:30 pm to 2:00 am. Responsible for operating CNC mills, loading parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting offsets, deburring, and inspecting parts to ensure quality and production goals.

Essential Functions

Study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations and setup requirements.

Detect equipment malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or media as required to ensure quality of production. Report all malfunctions to management.

Communicate with management, production control, quality, or other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.

Maintain organization of tooling and equipment in the work area.

Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Accurately record time and job performance in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Perform basic preventive maintenance functions on equipment.

Job Environment

Work is conducted in an indoor, temperature‑regulated industrial manufacturing environment utilizing standard machining equipment such as CNC horizontal and vertical milling machines, precision measuring instruments, and related tooling.
