Utility Operator

Job Description

You’ll be part of a world‑class, performance‑focused team creating sustainable packaging that keeps the world healthy, fed, and working. Your work supports the production line by packaging and labeling finished products, transporting raw materials, and maintaining equipment and production utilities.

• Package and label finished products in accordance with customer‑in‑house requirements and packaging standards.
• Verify accuracy of packaging labels and transport packaged materials to storage areas.
• Transport and convey raw materials from the storage area to the elevator and hopper, operating a forklift efficiently.
• Maintain resin/additive levels in blenders and hoppers and perform hopper/blender changeovers as required.
• Handle and document loose roll scrap for disposition as directed by the production supervisor.
• Set up and operate production utility machinery per specifications.
• Adhere to Life‑Saving Behaviors and all safety policies; report maintenance and safety issues promptly.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and foster a high‑performing, supportive work environment.
• Maintain housekeeping practices and clean areas as needed.
• Collaborate with co‑workers as a team member and support safe, quality production.
• Perform other tasks as directed by supervision/management.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Skills /

Experience:

Manufacturing experience preferred; ability to troubleshoot, multitask, and prioritize effectively.

Attributes: Reliable with a strong attendance record, positive attitude, motivated, organized, strong communication skills, and ability to interact with employees at all levels. Safe‑oriented with a continuous improvement mindset and a desire to grow within the organization.

Additional Requirement: Must be able to regularly lift and push 30 pounds.
