Kelly, in partnership with a growing metal manufacturer is looking for two Weld Inspectors in Chippewa Falls, WI. These positions are open due to growth!
These are direct hire roles, meaning you’ll be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefits, vacation, and compensation upon hire.

- Pay: $30 – $33 per hour, based on experience.
Responsible for monitoring and auditing manufacturing processes to ensure pre-determined quality objectives are being achieved in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. This role assures that all components, assemblies, and processes conform to customer, internal, and regulatory requirements through inspection, documentation, and ongoing process audits.
- Monitor and audit manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and all internal and customer requirements.
- Inspect components and assemblies against customer-supplied or in-house engineering drawings/specifications.
- Utilize standard Quality Assurance tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect work in process.
- Interpret engineering prints and recognize weld symbols to verify correct assembly and fabrication.
- Initiate and monitor nonconformance reports (IRRs), ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to solve quality-related issues and adapt to changes in manufacturing methods.
- Conduct and document in-process and first article inspections; maintain accurate inspection records and computer logs.
- Perform scheduled internal quality systems and process audits to ensure continued compliance.
- Collect, analyze, and record inspection and process data to support continuous improvement.
- Quickly respond to and resolve quality-related concerns, supporting both operations and engineering teams.
- Maintain all required paperwork, reports, and electronic records in accordance with company and ISO standards.
- Support special quality projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Follow all machine, facility, and personal safety practices and adhere to all company workplace rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards in a manufacturing environment (metal fabrication preferred)
- Proficient in blueprint reading and weld symbol recognition
- Experience with measurement tools and inspection equipment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
