This role has been designed as 'Hybrid' with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.
Job DescriptionDesigns, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.
Responsibilities- Designs limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
- Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.
- Executes and writes portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs issues with code and suggests changes or improvements.
- Participates as a member of project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem.
- Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 2-4 years experience.
- Using software systems design tools and languages.
- Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.
- Designing software systems running on multiple platform types.
- Software systems testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options.
- Customer-focused (both internal and external to the company)
- Ability to work well in a cooperative development environment, both within and across teams
- Commitment to sound software engineering principles and full Software Development Lifecycle
- Web and Management software development expertise, with proven ability to produce high-quality deliverables
- Ability to work in a variety of languages such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, Go
- Maintaining/supporting RESTful API platforms
- Experience with build infrastructure, and Jenkins.
- Knowledge of operating system architecture, networking and file systems is highly desirable
- Experience in Agile Development, including defining epics, features, user stories, tasks and participating in Agile/Scrum practices
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate concepts (in verbal and written form) to stakeholders
- Ability to work well in a distributed team environment with lively debate

CompensationThe expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level.
United States of America:
Annual Salary USD 92, in Minnesota & Wisconsin. The listed salary range reflects base salary. Variable incentives may also be offered.
