Journeyman HVAC / Refrigeration Technician | $25–$35/hr | Blue Worx

Schedule: Day Shift with overtime and on-call opportunities available
Blue Worx is seeking an experienced Journeyman HVAC / Refrigeration Technician to support commercial HVAC and refrigeration service operations throughout the Oklahoma City area. This role is ideal for technicians with strong troubleshooting ability, refrigeration experience, and a commitment to quality workmanship and customer service.
Candidates should be comfortable performing installations, maintenance, and service repairs on a variety of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Position OverviewThe Journeyman HVAC / Refrigeration Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment while ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues
- Service equipment including:
- Rooftop units (RTUs)
- Split systems
- Walk-in coolers and freezers
- Ice machines
- Refrigeration racks and condensing units
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Check refrigerant levels and repair leaks as needed
- Ensure all work complies with EPA and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate service documentation and work orders
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Valid Journeyman HVAC license preferred
- EPA Certification required
- Commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience required
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of:
- Refrigeration cycles
- Electrical controls
- HVAC systems and components
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work on rooftops
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
