Children's Residential Support Worker

Hours
:
Full-time, permanent (37.5 hours per week) with a flexible shift pattern, including evenings, weekends, and an average of two sleep‑ins per week (included in salary). Voluntary overtime is also available.

As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you’ll be a crucial part of a passionate team, helping vulnerable young people through their challenges and creating positive change in their lives.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supporting daily routines
    :
    Supporting children with personal care, meal preparation, and daily activities to help them develop independence.
  • Educational support
    :
    Encouraging and supporting children in their learning journey, assisting with homework, and helping them develop new skills.
  • Leading recreational activities
    :
    Organising and leading recreational activities, including fun events and holidays, to increase engagement and enhance well‑being.
  • Emotional support
    :
    Providing guidance, care, and person‑centred support to help children navigate difficult moments.
  • Documentation
    :
    Completing care plans, reports, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintaining a safe environment
    :
    Ensuring the home is clean, secure, and well‑organised.
  • Team collaboration
    :
    Working closely with colleagues to create a positive, nurturing environment.

Previous experience in residential care is preferred but not essential—we provide full training to support your success in the role.
