Trainee welder

We are seeking an Trainee Welder based in Banbridge to be part of our growing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES | Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications with guidance from experienced team members. Work closely with experienced welders and fabricators to develop welding and fabrication skills. Safely operate welding equipment, machinery and hand tools following training and company procedures. Support the inspection and checking of welds and fabricated components to ensure quality requirements are met. Visually inspect welds to determine compliance with standards Demonstrate a willingness to learn, take instruction and continually develop technical knowledge and practical skills.

Contribute positively as part of a busy team, maintaining high standards of workmanship and housekeeping. Assist with general workshop duties and support all areas of the workshop as required. Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times. | EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE | Essential 6 months experience fabricating/welding with stainless-steel or carbon steel pipe Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, with a willingness to develop fabrication and welding skills.

Awareness of Health & Safety requirements, including the correct use of PPE and safe working practices. Desirable Have completed a welding course | SKILLS & ABILITIES | Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
