Do you have a passion for teaching? The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for middle school mathematics teaching positions that may become available within our division for the 2025 – 2026 school year.

Primary Responsibilities: To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

Essential

Qualifications and Skills:

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s License with the appropriate endorsement to teach Mathematics at the middle school level.
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials.
• Possess the ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction.
• Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning.
• Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework.
• Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students.
• Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families.
• Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hold a master’s degree in Education and/or the specific subject area.
• Possess a full mathematics endorsement.
• Possess an Algebra I endorsement.

FLSA: Exempt

Salary: $52,832.35 - $85,613.64 annually, with benefits; commensurate with experience.
