Do you have a passion for numbers and teaching the world of math to high school students? Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is now accepting applications for high school mathematics teaching positions that may
become available within our division for the 2026 – 2027 school year.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

ESSENTIAL

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s License with the appropriate endorsement to teach Mathematics at the high school level
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials
• Possess ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction
• Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning
• Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework
• Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students
• Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families
• Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment
• Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hold a master’s degree in Education and/or the specific subject area
• Hold at least 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics
• Possess endorsement to teach dual enrollment courses

FLSA: Exempt

SALARY: $52,832.35 - $85,613.64 annually, with benefits; commensurate with experience (current salary scale may change due to  budget considerations)
