Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is now accepting applications for health and physical education teaching positions that may become available within our division for the 2026 – 2027 school year.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s License with appropriate endorsement to teach health and physical education
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials
• Possess ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction
• Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning
• Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework
• Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students
• Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families
• Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment
• Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities

• Have an endorsement in driver’s education
• Hold a master’s degree in Education

Salary: $52,832.35 - $85,613.64 annually, with benefits; commensurate with experience (Salary may change due to  budget considerations)
