Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is now accepting applications for health and physical education teaching positions that may
become available within our division for the 2026 – 2027 school year.
Please note this is a "continuous recruit posting" to build an applicant pool for all schools. As positions become available, all qualified applicants with complete application files will be considered. Should a specific location/job be posted, you may also be required to apply to that posting.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.
ESSENTIALQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s License with appropriate endorsement to teach health and physical education
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials
- Possess ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction
- Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning
- Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework
- Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students
