Responsibilities
- Create form and fit designs/drawings for customer approval and internal R&D projects
- Create and review detailed manufacturing assembly and component drawings
- Perform engineering analyses and calculations to support design and development work
- Support the development of fixtures and equipment for internal facilities and machinery
- Assist sales team in conveying technical information to customers, estimating costs, and finalizing quotations
- Interface with suppliers as needed to procure outsourced parts, equipment, and materials
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent degree/work experience)
- Design for manufacture experience utilizing CAD software
- Ability to learn quickly
- Detail-oriented and well-organized
- Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Clear communicator and responsive
- Solid Works CAD software experience
- 2+ years of relevant work experience (internship and educational experience will be considered)
- Working knowledge of machining, cutting tool selection, and CNC operations
- Experience with manual machining
- Experience interacting with customers
- Familiar with structural analysis methodologies
