Position Overview

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, Christiansburg, VA.

Location:

2900 Lamb Cir, Christiansburg. Full-time shift flexibility. This role supports patient care during diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical, and obstetrical procedures.

• Develop anesthetic care plans for patients of all ages in coordination with an anesthesiologist or the patient's physician.
• Implement and adjust anesthetic plans in response to patient conditions.
• Document anesthetic response accurately and completely.
• Ensure patient safety during anesthetic care and during transfer to other qualified health care providers.
• Collaborate with and direct other health care personnel related to administration of anesthesia care.

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Graduate of a Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs (COA) accredited school of nurse anesthesia education.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner‑Nurse Anesthetist in Virginia.
• Current certification or recertification as an active, practicing nurse anesthetist (NBCRNA).
• Maintain current American Heart Association approved BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• $50,000 sign‑on bonus.
