Advanced Practice Provider-Urology

Location:

120 Akers Farm Rd NE - Christiansburg

• Provide outpatient urologic care including patient evaluations, follow-ups, and treatment planning.
• Manage common urologic conditions such as BPH, kidney stones, urinary tract conditions, and prostate concerns.
• Perform office‑based procedures as appropriate (training provided if needed).
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, and support staff.
• Participate in patient education and care coordination.
• Document care in the electronic medical record (Epic).
• Schedule full‑time Monday–Friday; primarily 8‑5, and on‑call up to 2–3 times per week.

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• NCCPA certification (PA) or national NP certification.
• Minimum 2 years of Advanced Practice Provider experience;
  Urology experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) requirement; PALS/NPR or ACLS as required for the position.
• Must demonstrate and maintain all credentialing and licensing requirements of Carilion Clinic and applicable state boards.
• Capable of meeting credentialing or job function requirements as needed based on the practice and managed care payors.
• Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills.
• Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
