The Training Specialist supports the development of employees by assisting with the planning, coordination, and delivery of training programs under the direction of the Training Manager. This role ensures that training materials are accurate, sessions are well organized, and employees receive the resources needed to succeed. The person in this position will have extensive contact with bank staff and will interact in a professional and courteous manner and conduct themselves in a manner that will enhance the overall efficiency and image of the bank.
Because of the interactions with bank staff, this is an on-site position.
- Assist the Training Manager in coordinating and delivering training sessions for Citizens Community Bank, including using classroom, on-the-job, webinars, and other formats.
- Review training materials for accuracy and relevance; provide feedback for updates as needed.
- Support employees by knowing and answering procedural, technical, and informational questions.
- Under the direction of the Training Manager, maintain and update training materials and deposit manuals; communicate changes clearly to affected staff.
- Complete required compliance courses and attend mandatory meetings and trainings.
- Be available and able to travel as necessary for training purposes.
- Support onboarding and ongoing skill development.
- Under the direction of the Training Manager, provide consistency and standardized training across the organization.
- Regular, on-site attendance during standard business hours is required to perform the duties of this position.
- Regular and predictable attendance to accomplish assigned job duties.
- Additional duties as requested or assigned.
- Participate in Community Service and Bank-sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of CCB.
- Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy, and respect toward external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel).
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
- Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.
- Represent in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years banking experience preferred.
- Experience in training or employee development is a plus.
- Ability to jump in at the last minute and adapt quickly.
- Positive, uplifting attitude and highly motivated.
- Comfortable with public speaking to small and large groups of people.
- Be creative, with out of the box thinking.
- High degree of attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skills.
- Must have ability to prioritize and organize heavy workloads and demonstrate effective time management skills.
- Must have the ability to work in a professional manner and consistently demonstrate courtesy, customer service, and tact.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately and perform effectively under pressure; meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines and making decisions based on regulations, company policies, knowledge, and experience.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (word, excel) and standard office equipment.
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.
