Just 4 Kids Urgent care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work one to two 12-hour shifts per week in our Chubbuck location. This position will assess, plan, and provide care under the supervision of a physician. They will examine and treat urgent care patients to ensure proper injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will primarily be focused on:

Assess and treat patient needs within an urgent care setting and triage patients to differentiate between immediate and less urgent care.

Assess, plan, and treat patients under the supervision of a physician.

Perform digital blocks, regional anesthesia, and minor outpatient surgical procedures.

Participate in required education courses and perform CME credits to maintain license.

Communicate patient needs, diagnosis, and course of treatment to the patient, as well as other clinical staff and instruct and educate patients about discharge instructions if applicable.

Provide accurate and timely documentation to Just 4 Kids Urgent Care staff, insurance carriers, and companies.

Maintain confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA).Ensure a superior patient experience, by embracing the Just 4 Kids mission and values, and treating all with compassion and respect.

The preferred candidate for the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant position will have the following qualifications:

For PAs, successfully graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant Training Program and received and maintained certification.

For NPs, holds a current license as a registered nurse. Graduation with a masters degree from an accredited education program and successfully passing a certification exam.

Must possess a current license to practice medicine in the state of  an active DEA license and State Controlled Substance Certificate.

Knowledge of advanced medical terminology, basic emergency, pediatric and generalist procedures.

Ability to use the necessary equipment such as the nebulizer, EKG machine, etc.

Proven excellent quality and clinical standards.

Current PALS certified

Organizational and analytical skills necessary to maintain efficient workflow.

Ability to adjust responsibilities to accommodate a fast-paced work environment wile maintaining excellent customer service and staff interactions.
