California Licensed Staff Accountant

A company is looking for a Staff Accountant to manage multi-state tax compliance and support accounting functions in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities Prepare and file sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions and maintain related documentation Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations Manage company licenses and registrations, ensuring compliance with state requirements

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) 2-4 years of general accounting experience with knowledge of sales and use tax compliance Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls Multi-state sales tax compliance experience Familiarity with Vertex O Series and Net Suite ERP systems
