Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records. This position will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, data entry, and month-end support.

The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with accounting leadership and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system.
• Process vendor payments via ACH, checks, and online payment platforms.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Research and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, payments, and account balances.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Support audits by gathering requested documentation and reports.
• Generate and maintain accounting reports and spreadsheets.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely processing and approval of financial transactions.
• Perform general accounting and administrative duties as needed.
