DescriptionApplications for Part-Time, Adjunct Instructor pools are continually accepted (unless otherwise specified) by the District. They will be added to the application pool for review by hiring authorities on an as-needed basis. Should you be invited for an interview, you will be contacted by a District representative.
Southwestern College is looking to hire a part-time instructor to teach Chemistry via the in-person modality.
- Introductory Chemistry.
- Organic and Biochemistry for allied health majors.
- Preparatory, General, Organic, and Analytical Chemistry for science majors.
Classes are offered at multiple campuses and in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online). We are currently looking specifically for in-person instructors.
QualificationsMaster's Degree in Chemistry OR a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry AND a Master's Degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Physics, Physics, Molecular Biology, or Geochemistry, OR the equivalent OR a valid California Community College Instructor Credential in Chemistry.
Additional assessment is required for applicants with foreign degrees from colleges or universities outside of the United States. Applicants must have their coursework evaluated by a professional association that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) and must submit a copy of the evaluation with the application.
