Job Title
Southwestern College is looking to hire a part-time instructor to teach Asian-American History II (ASIA/HIST 113):
The curriculum examines the history of Asian Americans in the United States from 1846 to the present. Major themes include the study of economic developments, occupational patterns, anti-Asian movements, inter-ethnic exchanges, gender, and intergenerational issues. Includes a study of the Constitution of California. Class modality is face-to-face. Classes may be held during weekdays, and/or evenings at any of the campus sites (Chula Vista, National City, Otay Mesa, and/or San Ysidro).
Master's in Asian American Studies OR Master's in Ethnic Studies AND Bachelor's degree in Asian American Studies OR the equivalent.
Applicants with foreign degrees from colleges or universities outside of the United States must have their coursework evaluated by a professional association that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute, INC. (ACEI). A copy of the evaluation must be submitted with online application.
