Principal Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering – Collins Aerospace

Responsibilities- Design and plan layout for assembly and materials handling
- Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions
- Plan sequence of operations and specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance
- Develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control and develop related techniques
- Provide guidance for engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
- At least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and 8 years of progressive experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or related role in the aerospace industry; alternatively, a master’s degree and 5 years of experience acceptable
- At least 5 years of experience using CATIA V5 for 3D modeling and manufacturing drawings in the aerospace industry
- At least 5 years of experience with NC programming for complex aerospace components
- At least 5 years of experience applying continuous improvement and process optimization methodologies (Six Sigma Green Belt Certification)
- At least 5 years of experience in tool design and development for aerospace manufacturing applications
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future
