Senior Engineer, One-Off Repair; Onsite

Chula Vista, CA – onsite (building B107, 850 Lagoon Dr, Mail Zone 1-C)

Advanced Repair Engineer – responsible for designing and approving complex repairs of Collins Aerostructures commercial nacelle hardware to meet FAA/EASA airworthiness requirements.

• Design and approve complex repair solutions to minimize aircraft downtime for nacelle hardware.
• Manage multiple medium‑complex customer repair inquiries and lead cross‑functional teams to resolve issues.
• Take ownership of situations to ensure team goals and customer service levels are met.
• Use CATIA and other CAD tools for design, analysis, and approval of repair solutions.
• Develop and support repair designs on metallic and composite structures, applying technical knowledge.
• Request information from airline customers to accelerate development and approval of technical solutions.
• Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple inquiries with minimal guidance, ensuring customer expectations are met.
• Coordinate with other organizations to address technical issues and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

• College degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM); typically 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in aerospace, MRO/MRB, or with an airline preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with CATIA and other CAD tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Salary range: $95,500 – $181,700 USD, depending on experience and role responsibilities.
