Advanced Repair Engineering Professional
This position is for an advanced repair engineering professional with deep knowledge and developed technical expertise. Can resolve medium-complex customer inquiries or issues to meet customer service levels.
This position works in a primarily onsite capacity. Relocation assistance maybe available.
What You Will Do
- Designs and approves complex repairs and provides technical solutions to minimize aircraft downtime on all Collins Aerostructures commercial nacelle hardware that are compliant with certified type design and airworthiness (FAA/EASA) requirements
- Manages multiple complex customer inquiries (repairs) and leads cross functional teams to resolve customer inquiries
- Takes ownership of situations and efforts to resolve customer inquiries to ensure team goals are met
- Hands-on experience in CATIA and other CAD tools for the design and analysis of components and repair solutions
- Designs and approve solution for medium-complexity repairs requiring creativity and ingenuity in supporting airline operational and maintenance requirements
- Apply technical knowledge to support repair design development on metallic and composite structures
- Should be able to directly request for information from Airline customers for rapidly development and approval of technical solutions
- Under minimal guidance, plan, prioritize, and manage multiple customer inquiries, prioritizes tasks to ensure customer expectations and service levels are met
- Coordinates with other organizations to address technical issues
- Works with cross functional teams to resolved complex customer inquiries
- Provides technical guidance to junior engineers
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in Aerospace
- Experience in MRO/MRB
- Experience working for an airline
- Hands-on experience in CATIA and other CAD tools
- Communication verbal and written skills
