Fusion HCR is hiring! Direct Hire – Sr Systems Administrator! This is a permanent opportunity, onsite in Pt Mugu, CA working with our client in the government space.
Location:Naval Base Ventura County – Point Mugu, CA
Position Overview:We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to manage mission networks and laboratory environments in Point Mugu, CA
. This role requires expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL),
Microsoft Windows Server
, virtualization, containerization, automation, and secure system sustainment in a DoD environment.
- Plan, deploy, and maintain enterprise server infrastructure
- Administer RHEL and Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and enterprise storage
- Manage containerized workloads (Docker/Podman) and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix)
- Develop automation scripts using Bash and Power Shell
- Ensure systems comply with DoD cybersecurity policies and DISA STIGs
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and provide Tier 2 support for infrastructure issues
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance required
- 5–7+ years enterprise systems administration experience
- 2+ years RHEL administration experience
- DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+)
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
- Microsoft Windows Server certifications
- Experience with Nutanix, Rubrik, Info Blox, Log Rhythm, Tanium, SCCM/MECM/Intune
