About the Company

Collectors is a leading creator of innovative technology that provides value‑added services for collectors worldwide. We grade, authenticate, vault, and sell millions of items and modernize the process through technology.

About the Role

The Senior Customs Clearance Manager will oversee end‑to‑end compliance and coordination of international shipment activity, with a heavy focus on submissions, TIB compliance, shipment validation, and exception management.

What You’ll Do
  • Review and validate all international submission orders processed through Santa Ana, New Jersey, and other U.S. hubs before release; ensure correct routing, destination handling, and system setup.
  • Maintain “Shipping Hold” status for designated international submissions until cleared per policy.
  • Establish and manage global broker partners to streamline shipments and support new location go‑lives.
  • Own TIB compliance after shipments depart U.S. facilities; track customs requirements and apply operational process changes ahead of shipping.
  • Partner with U.S. customs brokers and freight carriers (e.g., Fed Ex) to ensure end‑to‑end tracking and proactive resolution of customs holds.
  • Monitor shipments for port accuracy, customs status, and documentation completeness.
  • Conduct regular audits of active international submissions to identify discrepancies, delays, or compliance risks; produce exception reports and troubleshoot within a 48‑hour SLA.
  • Identify problem orders early and flag them for key internal teams to prevent downstream delays.
  • Track turnaround times (TATs) and overall shipment progress from intake through return.
  • Act as the single point of contact between U.S., China, Hong Kong, and other international logistics teams; provide timely status updates and resolution paths.
  • Coordinate with Receiving, Operations, Shipping, and Grading to ensure process continuity.
  • Partner with Operations, IT, and cross‑functional stakeholders to strengthen system safeguards, reduce reliance on manual tracking, and automate validation checks.
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of standardized international logistics procedures.
  • Report to the Director, Global Supply Chain; work remotely with quarterly travel, and possible on‑site presence if within one hour of an office.
Qualification Requirements
  • 7‑10+ years of experience in international logistics, supply chain, or shipping operations.
  • Working knowledge of customs processes, commercial invoices, and international shipping documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex, multi‑step workflows.
  • Proven ability to track, audit, and resolve exceptions in high‑volume environments.
  • Strong cross‑functional communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) managing TIB shipments or bonded logistics processes.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management and order management systems.
  • Experience supporting Asia Pacific logistics flows.
  • Background in operational compliance or process improvement.
