Mascot Casting Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mascot Casting Technician to join our production team. This role is responsible for casting latex mascot masks using plaster molds, ensuring high-quality production standards, and assisting with the fabrication process from start to finish.

Experience with mold-making, latex casting, and costume or prop fabrication is highly preferred. Latex mask production commonly uses plaster molds and casting latex techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Cast latex mascot heads and mask components using plaster molds Prepare, clean, and maintain molds for production Demold, trim, and inspect cast pieces for quality and consistency Repair minor imperfections and prepare masks for finishing Follow production schedules and meet daily output goals Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety procedures when handling casting materials and chemicals Collaborate with sculpting, painting, and assembly departments

Qualifications:

Experience with latex casting, mold-making, or prop fabrication preferred Ability to work with plaster molds and casting materials Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team Experience in mascot, costume, special effects, or theatrical fabrication is a plus
