Overview
Paradise Valley Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is a 291‑bed acute care facility and the largest employer in National City. With over 100 years of service, the hospital offers a full range of medical, behavioral health, surgical, and emergency services, including a Spine & Joint Center, a cardiac catheterization lab, and comprehensive inpatient and outpatient behavioral health programs.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, treatment, medication administration, and follow‑up
- Educate patients and families about mental and medical conditions, self‑care, and medication compliance
- Run therapeutic groups and deliver psychiatric crisis intervention, including seclusion and restraint when necessary
- Record patient medical histories, symptoms, and diagnostic results; analyze and interpret findings
- Operate medical equipment and assist in diagnostic testing
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units
- Facilitate patient rehabilitation and transition planning
- Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS certification upon hire, maintained thereafter
- Knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards
- Experience with interdisciplinary treatment teams and behavioral health programming
- Understanding of the continuum of care for behavioral health services
Compensation range: $48.24 to $66.50 per hour. The specific rate will be determined at hiring based on skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
