The Quality Assurance Technician performs quality checks to ensure our product meets the quality metrics provided in the Quality Management System.

• Uphold Boochcraft’s company values and represent Boochcraft with enthusiasm and confidence.
• Ensure a safe workplace.
• Adhere to the Quality Management System and provide inputs toward continually improving its scope.
• Follow proper operating procedures.
• Perform lab analysis such as titratable acidity, alcohol and density analysis, PCR, cell counts, measuring CO2 and DO, and can seam analysis.
• Collect samples at various points during the process using the ASBC method of aseptic sampling.
• Prepare media and plates as needed.
• Capture and analyze data using standard deviations to interpret trends in the brewery.
• Set up and administer sensory panels.
• Clean and organize lab space.
• Assist production when needed.
• Work with the innovation group as needed.

• Education:
  
  Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or Engineering. If not formally educated in these disciplines, require an Associate’s degree and the experience necessary to perform the required laboratory procedures. A thorough understanding of quality control methods, especially for chemical/biological processes, is preferred.
• Preferred Experience:
  
  2 years of laboratory experience, ideally supporting a high‑volume production plant where data was gathered and analyzed to monitor and control production quality.
• License or Certification:
  Hold a valid Driver’s License.
• Specialized
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suite.
• Preferred
  
  Skills:
  
  Experience growing and analyzing complex cultures of yeast, bacteria, and/or enzymes; well‑developed palate for distinguishing flavors, ingredients, fermentation characteristics, and aging/storage methods.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Ability to lift, bend over, kneel, twist, climb ladders, stoop, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs.

This position pays between $21.50 per hour and $23.00 per hour.
