Program:

The First 5 First Steps (First Steps) family support program provides home visiting services to pregnant women and families with children ages 0-3. Using the evidence-based Health Families America (HFA) model, the program promotes positive parenting, healthy child development, and family well-being while helping prevent child abuse and neglect. Through relationship-based support, parent education, and connections to community resources, First Steps serves families facing stressors that may place them at increased risk for poor health and development outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Program Supervisor provides supervision and support to direct service staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality, family-centered home visiting services in accordance with Healthy Families America standards, program policies and organizational goals. Program Supervisors partner with home visitors to help them support families, and assist in providing family-centered, strength-based interventions for parents. Services will be kept within the agency and program specific goals, objectives, mission, and style provided within a team framework.
