Utility Worker

Transdev in Chula Vista, CA is hiring a Utility Worker/Service Employee. This role involves basic vehicle servicing duties and requires a customer‑service oriented professional dedicated to safety.

• $20.36 per hour (subject to collective bargaining agreement)
• Vacation: up to 35 days per year (based on years of service and hours worked)
• Paid sick leave: 40 hours per year; medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days; life insurance; 401(k) retirement benefits; company holidays.

• Maintain cleanliness of fleet vehicles – interior and exterior
• Drive, maneuver, and park vehicles
• Fuel buses, replenish fluids, and log all fluid usage
• Download drive‑camera footage and probe fare box data
• Perform light maintenance in shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor
• Other duties as required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical examination (per DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40)

• Less than 10% of work in a fully conditioned indoors or well‑ventilated facility
• More than 90% of work in an open garage facility
• Repetitive arm and hand movements, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, handling materials; may lift up to 60 pounds
• May be exposed to cleaning chemicals; safety protective gear provided

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen
