• Issue purchase orders for MRO items that support cost, quality and delivery goals.
• Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance and act to deliver cost savings.
• Negotiate cost savings/cost avoidance with suppliers.
• Support inventory reduction initiatives.
• Build long-term supplier partnership relationships.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of MRP systems.
• Experience in purchasing with an understanding of MRO.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Solicit/analyze proposals to achieve lowest total cost objectives.
• Generate/disseminate required documents through the use of Oracle, Microsoft Office, and related systems, and effectively communicate throughout.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

• Previous MRO purchasing
• Automotive Purchasing experience
• Direct Materials Purchasing experience
• Understanding of commodity market trends
• Working knowledge of ERP procedures/concepts

• Associate's degree preferred.
