Registered Nurse Inpatient Rehab

Methodist Healthcare seeks a Registered Nurse for our Inpatient Rehab unit in San Antonio. In this role, you'll deliver comprehensive, patient-centered rehab care for adults recovering from illness, surgery, or injury. Responsibilities include assessment, individualized care planning, wound and medication management, and close monitoring of complex patients. You'll collaborate with physicians and therapists, support mobility and safety, educate patients and families, and document in the EHR.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to adult inpatient rehab patients.
• Perform ongoing assessments, develop and update individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and manage wounds per protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers on rehab goals.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and implement fall-prevention strategies.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, therapies, and discharge plans.
• Monitor and document patient status using electronic health records.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to care conferences.
• Support quality, safety, and regulatory standards within the unit.
• Engage in ongoing clinical education and support unit-based improvements.
