As a Skilled Handyman/Carpenter
, you'll enjoy consistent, year-round work across a variety of residential repair, maintenance, and light remodeling projects. You'll work independently in the field while having the support of a locally owned business backed by the trusted Ace Hardware brand.

You'll travel to pre-scheduled residential job sites, evaluate homeowners' repair and maintenance needs, explain solutions clearly, and complete quality work efficiently and professionally.

Projects may include:

• Carpentry and trim work
• Drywall repair and patching
• Door installation and repair
• Painting
• Tile installation and repair
• Basic electrical troubleshooting
• General home maintenance and repairs
• Light remodeling projects

You'll be expected to leave each job site clean and complete work with the attention to detail and professionalism our customers expect.

Day to day: You'll arrive at scheduled jobs on time, accurately evaluate the customer's needs, communicate the recommended solution, and complete projects safely, efficiently, and cleanly.

Long term: You'll build a reputation as a trusted home repair professional in the community by maintaining high customer satisfaction, accurately diagnosing repair issues, and consistently delivering quality craftsmanship while working independently.

Proven professional experience in home repair, remodeling, carpentry, or a general handyman role

Strong practical knowledge across multiple residential trades, particularly carpentry, drywall repair, painting, tiling, and basic plumbing/electrical troubleshooting

Your own standard set of professional hand and power tools

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and interact comfortably with homeowners

These aren't required, but we'd love to see:

Experience performing professional home inspections

Experience estimating project timelines and material costs

Advanced finish carpentry skills

Custom cabinetry or cabinet installation experience
