Staff Accountant

Overview

We  hiring a data-driven accountant for an integral position on our team. You  keep our general ledger up-to-date, ensure the accuracy of our financial information, and use Quick Books for tracking. Candidates should be experienced problem-solvers, well-organized, detail-oriented, and time-efficient.

• Manage payroll duties to ensure employees are paid on time
• Ensure all books reconcile with bank statements and prepare financial statements
• Process accounts receivable and accounts payable in a timely manner
• Ensure transactions are recorded properly in all ledgers
• Complete bookkeeping duties: data entry and record maintenance
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
• Process payroll and ensure accurate recording of employee compensation
• Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoices
• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
• Assist with the implementation and monitoring of internal controls in compliance with SOX regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data for reporting purposes
• Conduct financial analysis for work centers, identify cost trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
• Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during annual audits

• Strong knowledge of Quick Books, Excel, and basic accounting systems
• Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• At least 2 years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a cost accountant, management accountant, bookkeeper, or related position
• Bachelor  degree in accounting or related field
• Must possess exceptional communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Must know Cost Accounting
• At least 3-5 years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a cost accountant, management accountant, or bookkeeper
• Bachelor  degree in Accounting required
