A TEC Group client near Cicero, IL is searching for a Staff Accountant with 3+ years of accounting experience to join their team. In this role, you'll play a key part in financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries as needed.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare financial reports and assist in audits by gathering necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Work closely with the finance team to improve processes and drive efficiency.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Net Suite, Quick Books, or similar preferred).
